Ayurvedic Roast
May 2nd, 2010 by admin

There’s a new kid in coffee-free town; Ayurvedic Roast. This organic, health-promoting beverage is making a name for itself both as a coffee alternative and as an Ayurvedic powerhouse. If you’re wanting to go caffeine free, check this brew out.

Let’s be up front about one thing: Ayurvedic Roast doesn’t taste like coffee. If you want the exact taste of coffee, you’re going to have to keep up your java habit. However, this brew does contain a heady aroma and rich taste; if you give it a try, you’re going to be pleasantly surprised.

Ayurvedic Roast is a blend of roasted grains and three Ayurvedic herbs: Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Brahmi. Ashwagandha, the “ginseng of India”, is a potent antioxidant that promotes overall stamina and stability in the body, as well as promoting the immune system. It also has a calming effect on the mind and physiology. Shatavari augments and balances Ashwagandha, adding its own essence to the beneficial effects. Brahmi is used to increase intelligence and clarity, and also to lessen the effects of mental strain and worry. Used together, these three herbs are quite powerful.

In addition to the herbs above, the roast uses organic roasted grains – barley, rye, and chicory – and organic french vanilla flavor. These grains give the blend its deep roasted aroma and flavor.

Brewing Ayurvedic Roast couldn’t be simpler. It can be placed in a french press, drip coffee machine, boiled like a tea, or placed in an espresso machine for a coffee-free espresso. An interesting bonus: the grounds left over are the softened grains of the barley, rye, and chicory, and can be eaten, as they’re quite healthy for you.

If you’re a fan of the heady aroma and deep roasted flavor of coffee, give Ayurvedic Roast a try. You might become a fan of a different drink altogether.
