Espresso, coffee’s close cousin, is a drink some people just can’t do without. However, sometime it’s just not possible to get a cup every morning. Here are a few not too often thought about alternatives for when you can’t get a hold of your morning espresso.
Energy Drinks
Despite the fact that energy drinks probably have much more caffeine in them than espresso, drinking espresso shots daily is thought to raise one’s energy level. Just like a Red Bull, gives you wings ya know? There are several energy beverages available on the market today that give you the same benefit: energy galore!
Chewing Gum
Although it doesn’t appear like chewing gum could have the same impact that morning espresso does, in reality chewing gum is a good way to get stimulated in the a.m. The flavor in most gum these days, like Peppermint, Wintermint, or even Raspberry, gives your mouth something to wake up to. It also masks morning breath if you have that concern.
Soda
Drinking soda is also another option to an espresso shot. Measuring up to energy drinks soda per serving has a lot less caffeine, in them but about the same amount as a shot of espresso. This makes soda stand up to espresso as a good morning alternative.
Espresso may be one of the most popular morning beverages in the world, but some days its good to try something a little different!
